About a month ago, I had the pleasure of speaking with Peter Altschul about his unusual career paths and finding a love that physically moved him from the busy city life on the East Coast to a growing college town in the Midwest. When I went to visit his home for the interview, I was also greeted by his guide dog, Heath.
Today, he’s giving a presentation about his book “Breaking Barriers: Working and loving while blind” at the Daniel Boone Regional Library. In my story that ran last night, I got to share some of his experiences working as an organizational management specialist with various interest groups around the country.
The biggest challenge of this story was finding a way to cohesively put all the different, interesting aspects of his life and make them work together for an enjoyable and informative reading experience.
How do you think I did?
