Vox Magazine

During my senior year of college, I worked as the music department editor for Vox magazine, Columbia’s weekly magazine. As an editor in the capstone course, I researched, pitched, assigned, edited and fact-checked stories about the local music scene. This involved developing stories for both print and digital platforms. I also served as a rotating feature editor, associate managing editor and digital associate managing editor throughout the semester. Other responsibilities included directing artwork for the stories, proofing for print and online production, and entering calendar listings for local events. The following are stories I oversaw through editing and production.

As a member of staff, I also contributed to the magazine’s online blog, VoxTalk, about local music and various items of interest.
